Blessed Intentions

People have told me that Dinner for God gives the opportunity to create a deeply profound, loving and joyful experience with loved ones. I am excited to share with you that the experience is too great to happen only once in a while. This is the intention I had when I wrote this book. During the holidays it seemed to be easier for us to have these feelings. But wouldn’t it be easier to have this experience all year long and beyond? Yes! Not just during the holidays but every day!

The beginning of the New Year can bring on a multitude of feelings and emotions. Some of us start a bit groggy from the passing of the holidays; others are ready to hit the ground running on new resolutions they have made. Either way, there is no wrong way to approach a brand new time for us. We all have our own way. But there are things we can all do to insure that we are aligning with our highest self.

1 ~ Consider ‘intentions’ over ‘resolutions’. Or better yet,
‘Blessed Intentions’. A resolution can seem daunting if
when the time has come to act upon it, you may not have
the right attitude to face it and bring it on to you. Make
sure to stay in joy. Decide that your intentions for yourself
are joyful, playful and something that you are excited
about doing. (If it’s joyful and playful, it’s BLESSED!

2 ~ Help your intention along. Set an intention to honor your
body. When your body feels good, so do you! Find one
healthy alternative in your diet. Add another one the
following month, and so on. Go slow and easy and make
sure it’s joyful and Blessed.

3 ~ Share with others your intentions. Ask what theirs are and
inspire each other to do them playfully.

4 ~ Give yourself a daily congratulations for all that you are
happily accomplishing for yourself. The first person for
for you to honor with your intentions is yourself! So make
sure to honor YOU while blessedly intending!

The biggest Blessing for each of us on a minute-to-minute basis is that we ALWAYS get to CREATE for the Highest Good ~
To INTEND, and then see it through!

Another way to keep your Highest Self activated is to take time each day to intend for yourself and those around you for the Highest Good. What I mean by that is to stay living in the present moment!

Make every moment a part of your deepest Being. When you start there, the rest of the outer workings are so much easier. Try meditating or praying for a few minutes a day to start your intentions. Sit somewhere comfortably and close your eyes. Let your mind go blank and feel the love and support that the deepest part of your Being is bringing forth to you. Enjoy that! Revel in it! Be ONE with it! Nothing more!

When you are in that state, throw in one solid ‘intention’ that you have for yourself for the day, the week, the month, the year, the rest of your life…, make it simple and more importantly, JOY-FULL! Then let it go! Open your eyes and go about your day with that thought in mind.

Another suggestion I have is to hold a Dinner for God! If you’ve experienced one Dinner for God, you know how profound it can be. You showed up at your best, bringing your best edible creation and your best self to the table. Did you feel blessed? Did you feel loving and loved in return? This is YOU aligning with your Highest Self! Those feelings don’t need to stop, nor should they! You can host a Dinner for God through out the year! It doesn’t have to be grand…it can be a Lunch for God, a Tea for God, a Snack for God, etc.

And let us all know! Please share your experiences of your Dinners, Lunches, Teas or Snacks, etc. with us here on this blog! After all, we’re here to inspire one another and always intending the best for ourselves and each other.

Before I close, I want to share with you a healthy tip. Most of us like to eat healthier after the holidays…choosing healthier foods. I would like to recommend ‘Gary’s Amazing Roasted Vegetables’ that can be found on the website of www.dinnerforgod.com.

Here’s to Blessed Intentions!!!!

Be Good to Yourself/Be God to Yourself!

Submit every day to his perfect will and we will have more peace. We just will. I struggle with this with my only child, Michael. So afraid he will die or end up in a bad place that the fear consumes me at times. I have to constantly go to God and leave it at his feet and walk away. Do I walk away completely? No. That would be impossible for how he made me but I can have peace through it. It’s our choice.
